Centennial Farm at the Orange County Fair Grounds

This past weekend, Paul and I decided to venture out to Orange County Swap meet because I was bored at home, and wanted to do something new on a beautiful day. The Orange County swap meet was not what I expected but I had a fun time, regardless. It was $5 for parking, and $2 per person to get in. They had goods ranging from camping gear to dollar items. They did though, have a fantastic farmers market that sold vegetables at a bargain.

The best part was walking over to the Centennial Farm and seeing the farm animals. Since we paid for parking, we decided to venture out to the barn and see what was living in it. We found...

They have the funniest face. Then I ventured a little further to the animal pens to see my absolute favorite.

And got to pet the calf who just awoke from a lazy nap.

Millennium Barn is a working farm at the OC Fair and Event Center to educate the importance of agriculture and livestock. They have chickens, pigs, goats, other farm animals and an abundant vegetable garden.

There is a lot buzz with the sale of this property from the State to a private investor. Here is a link to an article here on Orange County Register. I just hope that the farm will remain as-is or gain improvements to help keep these animals for education. I was so thrilled that I got to see how these animals help people with our daily lives.

Monday - Friday, 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.
Saturday & Sunday, 9 a. m. - 4 p.m.
Note: The Millennium Barn and Century Barn close at 3:20 p.m
