Usually Mocha travels with us only on a camping trip. This weekend, we decided to go to Palm Springs and bring Mocha with us. We found an amazing dog friendly (up to 35 lbs) retro-hip hotel, "Caliente Tropics" only a mile or so from the main Palm Springs downtown. Paying only $80 a night plus a $20 pet stay fee, I was preparing for a mediocre room, but once we got there, I was blown away how nice and clean this place was.
Mocha just upgraded herself from camping to staying at retro-chic hotels.
This pool is HUGE and lined with oh-so-cool orange lounge chairs. I would love these for my back yard.
The pet friendly rooms are located on the bottom floor. It was easy to take Mocha out for a nice stroll.
I can't get enough of these orange lounge furniture.
Mocha is tired after running around the hotel grassy lawn area that resembles a dog park with cabanas.
I really loved the retro tiki theme of this hotel. At night, they lighted up the pool area with tiki torches!
The jacuzzi that is shaped like a clove. Piping hot and melted away any stress I had.
Then we went to one of many pet-friendly restaurants in Palm Springs. This city is so pet friendly that Mocha was able to go about anywhere with a patio and hang out.
Hamburger Marys
Paul's chocolate malt shake
...and his fries
Bernie's burger with onion rings
My American Kobe slider- all my girlfriends know that I LOVE sliders.
And our bill came in...a high stiletto. I LOVE this place!

Then we went to a Men's grooming store
and picked up some accessories for Paul's shaving kit
And Mocha helped test the fragrance for French milled soaps.
After the Men's shop, Mocha managed to squeeze in some shopping for herself
And lastly, walk along the Palm Springs strip like a true star.
