Paul and I headed down to pick up a camera lens from our buddy, Joe in San Diego. Last time we visited him, he took us to one of the coolest bars in San Diego called "Churchill's Pub & Grille". So naturally for this visit, I had to stop by again for lunch.

And of course, my quest to find THE BEST FISH AND CHIPS has ended. This is it. The best I've had. Chunky Alaskan cod, battered perfectly with beer notes, and super crunchy exterior and soft and steamy insides with buttery tartar sauce.
This is the kind of place I can hang out all day. Low key, with great food and beers.
And throw darts around for fun
Did I also mention $5 all day happy hour burgers on Sundays? And isn't it so cool that all the condiments come in recycled cider holders?
It's hard to find a good bread pudding, so when I saw the Whisky infused toffee bread pudding, I had to order it! This poor man's dessert was rich in flavors, and complex in depth. I also forgot to mention that Churchill's has an extensive Whisky and Scotch selection. It's too bad that I had to drive back home that same day. Oh well, next time.

And lastly...they have a very nice patio and its pet friendly! Puppies and beers. What a great combo. This handsome guy was chilling with his owners.
