East Flats Camping Trip
It's been a really busy month at work, so Paul and I decided to get the family, friends, and the dogs together for a camping trip at East Flats, in Southern California.
Camping is fun and gives me a chance to take in fresh air and slow down pace of life. Our tent trailer to the left, and Ilya's fancy Mermot tent to the right.
The best part about camping in remote area is that there are amazing hiking trails.
Mocha and Paul to the left, Dude and Ilya to the right
We passed by herds of backpackers along our route
And walked along isolated trails while Mocha explored the smell of the earth
Paul found some time to pan for gold by the crisp stream
Ilya and Kea also took a stab at trying to strike it rich. Mocha decided to take the matter into her paws and take a quick cold dip in the stream.
Kea is really focused on finding gold. Cookie, on the other hand wanted to go along with our route.
Bernie and the dogs enjoy the break from the hike
Erika and Mocha
Both Mocha and Paul are saying, "Hurry up, Jen!"
Back at camp, we played a competitive game of Dominos
And played with the dogs to our content.
