Why I love architecture

Something about architecture is so mysterious. Compared to the animal kingdom, it's like a giant bee hive. I am so amazed that human beings can build something like this. Or imagine it.

When I was a student at Art Center, one of the projects I had was to design my own dream house. My house was U-shaped, all single floor, with hard concrete outside hidden amongst the trees. Once inside, it opened up to a warm wood interior with glass walls that exposed the ocean and the garden in the middle. My inspiration is Tadao Ando. He is one of my favorite architects besides Santiago Calatrava, and Frank Lloyd Wright.
