It all started with this email

"Hey Jen,
How was your birthday? Know anyone who might be interested in a young black lab female? She showed up at my uncle's business (truck)yard a couple of days ago and keeps coming back. I’ve seen her a couple of times and she is really sweet.
Thanks, Matt"

Matt and I barely know each other, but we became fast friends because we had a common goal- to rescue Penny, find her a great home and reducing the number of stray dogs and cats on our city streets. So we came up with this idea. To start an educational outreach organization that serve as a source for information on spaying and neutering pets, adopting, fostering, rescuing, and preventing animal abuse.

Penny's story has a great, happy, fairy tale ending. You can read about here. But how do we continue with our efforts?

We don't know what we are doing, or how to start an organization like this. So we came up with something we know how to do. We came up with a name, a logo, and registered a domain name, and started a blog. It's still in its infant stages, but we are taking baby paw steps at a time to reach a bigger goal.
